Have you checked with Advance Auto? I've found older ones there before.

Thank you, just ahd a look on there and it is one of the better priced ones that I have seen especially since it will already be programmed. Still at $695 its a big chunck of change. I may just end up waiting until I can 100% confirm that its the ECM that is causing the issue.

Mine was $495 and a bargain at that. The dealer wanted almost 2k. Mine was dead. The dash and guages lit up and it would crank but not start. If it is the PCM all that stuff won't work properly. ECM is just for the engine. Although my experience is with the 24 valve. Don't know if things are different for the common rail. I sold both my 24 valves and went back to a '98 12 valve and don't regret a thing !

I had my 95 ECM reprogramed, took it to Parr Auto (Bumper to Bumper) in Airdrie. Call 403-948-3777, Ken or Dan. Cannot remember the cost but was reasonable. I think it was Standard Ignition that does it. They sent it to Edmonton but Standard could not do it there so they sent to Ontario.

So far looks like autocomputerexchange has the best price from what I have seen. Will try the other places mentioned as well.

Was it on sale? Looked on their site this morning and it is Reg $895 on for $760?

http://autocomputerexchange.net/ is $ 695 so maybe it was that site you ordered from.

I am guessing with these sites they will charge a core fee if you dont send yours back?

Hey Justin, what kind of ECM issues are you having that you need a new one?

ECM's are very internally protected electronically and ECM failures for any vehicle including the common rail Cummins are rare.
