Last I heard today it was 60km south of town. But I sleep all day and work all night, so I'm kinda out of the loop.

Not sure what e&u sup is. I havent worked in Ft Mac since 06. I did work @ Liebherr putting together the 400 tone trucks. Then got a job @ syncrude in the hiway truck shop. Should have stayed with Liebherr, got paided mileage, plus it was tax free. Then both parents had medical issues, so moved back the area. I have been thinking about going back up, but not really sure if I can stand the safety bs. Everyday @ sycrude had to find something that wasnt safe & put in a suggestion box. It wasnt a union site, but they sure acted like it was. Not sure if 10bucks is worth the over priced cost of living up there.

Get a camp job and commute. Ill be taking suncor paychecks steady at baseplant till I can do that myself. Either transfer to a suncor camp job or kearl lake imperial oil.

Fire

The fire is just south of town....highway 63 is closed to northbound traffic - gotta use 881 if your comin to the fort. Southbound is still open for the time being. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a repeat of the fire we had in 95 where there was no way in or out for 2 weeks...people get stupid when the grocery stores start running out of everything.

An E&I Sup is a Supervisor for electricians and instrument techs. Red I will send u a PM

I'll be in the shop at the Fort Mackay yard pulling wrenches on the big stuff, I'm used to it from before although the last 6 months at SMS I've been playing with the gardening equipement

I'm just glad I don't have to go on site, the amount of red tape there to even think about working is mind blowing

Company rents condos in town for the crew to stay in. It's a pretty sweet gig!

Sitting in Firebag right now. Did SFA today and tomorrow looks like more of the same. Last week drove all the way up here spent the night in camp and then drove back home. Couple more days of this I'm gonna have to head into town and get ripped.
