I live in town - up in Timberlea - the wife wanted to be close to schools for the kids so we stayed in town....but I would love to move out to Anzac or Saparae Creek...maybe when the kids are old enough to drive themselves we will get away from the city noise

Suncor.... Extraction.... Timberlea

 

I spent most of last winter up there , 70 days on in a row ... zero days off !!
I picked up & moved to Panama right after that , Summer 24 - 7 here !!
Looks like I will be back up there in a couple of months , 5 year gig & I should never have to work again ... Ever !!

If it all works out it will be perfect !
As long as I can get a few days off over 5 years !! Otherwise I will be in the asylum

 

What do you do that you only have to work 5 more years? Or is the cost of living that reasonable in Panama?

There is a new project starting & a friend is one of the head people there so he can get me a good paying stable job for the length of the project .The house is already free & clear in panama & the cost of living is quite reasonable here , the food is much cheaper , heating bills well you get that !! Sock away afew dollers & it will last as long as I will !!
I absolutly could not take the cold anymore either which is why I am here now
