I drove my son to go skiing today, so I drove thru most of the bad stuff. There was some limited visibility. Lots of people driving 20-30km's on the hiway (those people should just stay home) that wandered all over the roads. Saw a bunch of semis driving in the middle of all the lanes, with the hazards lights on. I just drove around all those guys.

Not much for snow fall, maybe 10-15cm of snow, I thought we might actually get some snow this time around. Most of the snow accumulation was from wind drifts. Funny thing is I had a few neighbors ask me to use my quad to plow there driveways.

Really liking these goodyear duratracks that I put on the 2010, they worked awesome in the deep snow. I want to try a set with studs installed just see how much better they are.
How are they wearing----I am looking at the Duratrac's(285/75/16E) as well Mike for my 01 ----the BFG AT's are almost done at 65000KM(maybe another 10k most). The studs might be a better option too,---I found a place out in Vancouver that has my size for 261.00CAN tire/free shipping.CheersDW

I had the prograde duratracs on my truck until this fall, they were on it when i bought and i got about 80,00 km's out of them. They probably would have gone another 20k or so if it wasn't winter. Most of my driving is highway so that will definately help them live longer, they were a pretty decent all around tire.I repalced them with a set of Nokia highway/terrains, i wanted michelin's but they were out of stock in North America when i needed new ones.

I had Nokian's on my truck, got about 100k out of them. They were good for highway tires. No comparison to my Blizzacks in the snow (obviously), and are pretty useless in the mud. But they served their purpose.

I've run about 4 sets of the BFG ATKOs and finally switched to something else just this week. I only got about 50,000 out of them and I don't think I'm hard on tires.

I looked at the DuraTrac, but pretty pricey. Nokian doesn't make the ones that Tate got anymore and replaced them with the Rotiva. Nice tire, pretty good penny too. I bent and got the Kal Tire Multi Mile Wild Country XTX Sport. They had the severe snow rating and had a tread similar to the Nittos etc.

We'll see how they wear, they had a 80,000 km tread wear thing so if I get over 50K I'm ahead of the BFGs. So far in the wet snow and icy stuff, pretty good.

My 285 Duratracs have about 130,000 kms on them right now, maybe a 1/4 of tread left. They were awesome in the snow even now with next to nothing for tread.

Previous, I had a set of Nokian Vativa's on the old girl and pulled out 155,000 km off them. Still had a couple of km's on them when they were replaced.
Incredible snow tire, brutally sucked in mud.

They have upgraded the Nokians to a slightly different tread pattern but the old style is still out there.

Never had luck of any kind with BFG's. Doing pretty much all highway gets me the mileage I get, but getting the pressures right is a challenge.

My pressures usually are 55 psi drivers, 53 psi passenger and 50 psi rear and they all wear dead flat across the tread.

I had good luck with 65 in the front and about 45 in the back on my 12v. The dually, it was 70-80 psi in the front, and 40 in the back. The fronts wore a bit funny, the rears did pretty well. Still have decent tread on them.

I bought some M55's for the 12v, since they are one of the few tires to come in 255/85R16's without being a mud tire. Interested to see how they fare.

Dw, I have 45000km on my duratrac's. I have 3mm of wear on the rear and 2mm of wear on the front. I tow a trailer and do lots of driving on gravel. Done a few burnouts with them as well. Most of the time I also have decent payload in the bed most of the times ranging from 1k to 3k. I'm pretty sure that I will have over 100000km's out these tires.

Most tires that I've used, the gravel/trailer towing will eat tires in no time. My luck with KO BFG AT tires is around 40000km's or 10 months of use. My last set of tires was Toyo M-55, probably the worst tires on the planet. I tried my hardest to burn them to pieces. I got 120000km's out of them and gave them away with 10-20k of tire left on them.

The d-tracs works so good, I blew my fourth 47RE with them. I installed my arb locker into my dana 80 and had to do a decent two wheel burnout. I got to 3rd gear, or 80kph and lost my third gear. They hook-up decently on dry pavement and I can't peel them off at will like most other brands that I've used.

My 2010 has 295/65/18's and my 02 has 285/70/17's. I have my old 2010 4th gen rims on the 02, and they are one awesome looking rims.

Not sure if you guys have seen the new 2013 rims, but they are one of the best looking rim I have ever seen.

Thanks--- Mike your feedback is appreciated, most likely going to try the Duratrac's on the 01.I am going to stay with the BFG"S KM2 on my 07 just because of the size(255/80/17)tall and skinny for the dually--actually they are wearing real good with just over 62000KM they still have about 40%left,some towing,1000LBS in the bed though out winter. Not bad for an aggressive mud tire.DW

Brett and I went picked up my half ton in Calgary tonight. The truck was spinning out just changing lanes. Most people were doing 80-90 on the #2, some chodes going 65 though. I'm hoping they close the highway tomorrow so I don't have to go to Edmonton tomorrow night for work.

The weather warning has been lifted for Calgary, but not for here yet. It is still snowing and blowing here. Today is a 'stay home' day for me.
