No - we pussed out because it was going to be cold. Actually, Ive spent too much time in that area so I know how the weather can be in the bush out there. I wouldnt have been too happy Mike as we do not have a trailer, and would have been in a TENT !.

I hear ya, I have lived there for 15 years of my life (I kinda grew up in the area). My dad has a farm to the west of town. Its a blast driving the quad off the farm and be able to put on 100 kms without hitting a fence.

I just got drunk all long weekend with family gathering at Pigeon, we just had a skif of snow (1-2inchs).

You in the Rob area? Trails any good there, I'm a newbie in quads.

I lived in Edson for only for a year...but have seen many a backroad North and South of Edson and Hinton as well as the Forestry Trunk when I worked the patch out that way. Yes, there are many good places to quad all around there, including Robb, Cadomine, Ruby Falls, etc. There is lots of great backcountry camping as well.

We camped around Graves Flats last summer - heres some pics (from my old crappy camera):

Cadomin:

I would have thought you already knew about these places if you grew up there (thats where Mrs. Evil is from BTW).

My parents still live there. I haven't lived there in twenty years. I remember using an ATV, I guess I just might have dated myself

I was lucky work gave me a company truck to go and beat on in the mud back then. We lived around the Wolf Lake road just off hiway 16. Once apon a time, we were the first just right off the road. Today, you have to zig and zag to dodge fences. I still remember the mud gumbo.

Been really racking up the miles on the dually hauling supplies up there for the gazebo + a bunk house that about 75% complete,no play time until the end of June and then enjoy the summer doing "LAKE" stuff.I made the mistake of letting the MRS drive the dually a few week back up there,if i"m not hauling anything i have to fight her for the keys now.No problem once the work is done as i drove the 01 last Fri for a quick rip,the 07 DRW is a nice daily drive but for neck snapping acceleration and the rumble of the second genner she still puts a half -a$$ grin on my face every time i drive it.,.DW---PS some more pics

Funny. I used to spend every summer in Edson as my Grandparents lived there. My moms family was from Cadomin/Robb. Many days fishing the rivers in that area in my childhood..

DWeiler, Nice Titanium 5th wheel. I recognize that patented "over the cab nose" anywhere!

We looked at Titanium's very closely early last year but the dealer (Woody's) wouldn't budge at all on the price, their prep was terrible & they were flying off the lots.
Now, less than a year later, Woody's is no longer a Titanium/Glendale dealer & they closed down their huge dealership near Callaway Park.

We ended up with a smaller Triple E Topaz. It's not as flashy as a Titanium, more like a Citation, traditional styling & heavy. It has been very good., after all my re-engineering!

The Titanium RV Owner's forum is very good. It's small, easy to read & good info..

Ok, now back to winter, I mean summer!

I had also looked at the titanium, nice units, and in retrospect I might have been better of with it,, not sure.. I have a Jayco Designer right now,, very nice unit,, its for sale if anyone is interested in a very nice unit... We liked this one because it has alot of living space, a 42" LCD Tv and a fireplace,,, oh and the most important feature,, it has a built in Onan Gen set....

Nice trailer buddy. Where have you hauled it so far? I remember one year going to vancouver Island three time with my 29ft. I did most my RV hauling for work a few years ago.

We put on a ton of miles last summer at a $1.59/L diesel.
The RV was new, it was a good summer & off we went.

We camp mainly in B.C. since I grew up in Williams Lake. All over Shuswap & Okanogan. Plus annual week long trip to Kootenay Lake just south of Kaslo.
W/end trips to Invermere Valley which we really like too. Plus trying to follow the ARCA boys around especially since there is no stock car racing in Calgary this year...

I hope diesel stays below $.70/L this summer.. Joe

I second the 0.70 cent a litre, today I saw 0.95 for gas in Calgary and downtown Vancouver was over a dollar for gas. Last year, I didn't tow my trailer too often.

THANKS for the KUDOS on the trailer guys---nothing wrong with Triple E,traded in my 2000 26ft JAYCO TT 2 years ago for the Titanium(36ft,11K,3 slides, loaded). My Jayco was a good unit, but never used it much as to my crazy work schedule---seems you just get set up and then have to head home. Now that i have bought a RV lot up at Gull Lake i am there every weekend developing the lot(5700SQFT),trying to relax.Usually get about 50-60+days of use a year, all year. These lot are not for everyone as your in the same spot every time but i always have a place to go close to the water,no hauling in traffic, always have a prime spot---full services, good neighbors(water/power/ sewer/on site phone/internet if wanted/needed/clubhouse with pool/hot tub---VERY PRIVATE.So far this works for me as i am enjoying the development of my lot from from virgin land to hopefully a nice weekend getaway(chain link fence/garage/bunkhouse/gazebo/stone fire pit/pathways/decks)big plans/big $$ but hopefully worth it in the end.DW PS we decided about not going the park model route just in case this lot this is not for us---we still can pull it out in about 20 minutes and hit the road if we choose to.

I got out camping/4wheeling last weekend too, fortunatly we were just south of Highwooed junction and didn't get any snow and very little rain.

However there was still plenty of snow in the mountians.

37" tires, locked front and rear and chains and still had to turn back on every trail we hit.

Atleast we had the new trailer setup to keep us warm!
