Brett builds/makes his own exhaust system. I can't weld as good, so I have a one piece 5in exhaust down pipe. If your building your own exhaust down pipe, you can put it on later.

Friday.

Thanks for the tips, fellas.
Made some manifold studs. Didn't have time to order and half a dozen places I checked were too short or regular 3/8 thread.

Finished the pedestal. Bolted some places just incase I had to modify it.

hot pipe

Is proving to be a bear. First two piece design wasn't going to work.
Had to switch to the tried and true poster board template method.
I knocked off the cold pipe first as it was the easiest, Just tacked for now.
Intercooler need just a 3" filler piece. On the down side, my lower intercooler boot was rubbing the lip of the inner fender. Paper thin groove.
Peak is sending another but I've only got until Wed. I might have to get it forwarded to one of you guys in Calgary. (Airdrie, sorry)

Steve, before you weld everything together. Install you cold air intake on the S475. Check for clearance on the air tubes and the batteries. You can have a cold air box on the passager fender and run tubes up to it.

Greggs has that rubber air intake hose/booty for the the S475. I think you guys should have a Greggs up there.

Looking good buddy, can't wait to see how it works for ya.

Looks good Steve, you are making solid progress. The real fun part is tying the gate into the hotpipe. Normally I have a couple pieces of scrap pipe, before I get it how I want it.

The thing about building anything is: The more times you do it, the easier it gets.

Won't be long now till you hear the oddly quiet sound of twins.

You mean the low pitch of the big turbo that makes you say 'What the hell was that?'

Yeah Brett, I forgot about the wastegate tie in. I may just temporarily dump in the fender well just to get out of my brothers shop here in Crowsnest Pass. He wants it back.

Mike, if you're talking about the 45* boot Gregg sells, I've already got one. I may have to ship you a lower boot if somethings gone wrong with the peak order and they can't get it to Crowsnest Pass by Wed. The postal lady says things from Van. are flown to Calgary and then have to back track to the Pass.

I couldn't tell for the pics if you did or didn't.

You might want to move your wire harness, they might melt. The hot pipe seems to warm up that area pretty good.

Steve I am going to try and out low budget you here shortly and weld my wastegate feed tube right to the stock manifold with a hole cut in it of course.

This is one of my favorite build threads ever, all good thought up DIY pieces.
