Quad Boost Fooler?

Hey i just installed a Quad B/F, and it will not let me go any higher then 24 lbs of boost. I had a boost fooler from ATS that came with my A3000, it was one you splice in line. That one let me hit 32 at times, another thing is my PMT reads zero boost pressure while in town untill i punch it. Its almost like the Quad b/f is fooling my pmt also, i hope this all makes sense. Any idea's

yes the boost fooler will fool anything that is after it in line. The only way to properly do boost is with a proper guage. The ones like the PMT that take their readings from the obd port are very inaccurate.

Chad,

The boost fooler is fooling the ECM. If your BD PMT is reading boost thru the ECM via the OEM MAP sensor, it's readings are now also "fooled".

You may need to install a separate, independant boost gauge.

In my truck, I ignore the boost readings on my Edge Attitude monitor because my Smarty programmer is doing some sort of boost fooling/reprogramming.
I just go by my Autometer boost gauge.

DPS could definitely hook you up with a boost gauge.

Mopac sells autometer. They have big selection on hand. I used to have a 40psi ISSPRO, but I gave it away. 40psi is way to small anyways so I gave to my brother duramax

Unfortunately a gauge with 0-35PSI range will not be adequate for a CR Cummins.

You will bury that gauge with any kind of power module/programmer/boost fooler.

A boost gauge with a range to 60PSI will be required.

A perfect sized gauge for a duramax or power stroke. My brother didn't use my old gauge as it was too big.

I vote for a 80psi gauge, as it will leave room down the road for mods.

Hey mike i like your thinking, where is mopac located in calgary? I did find some on e-bay for $60 but it would take 2 weeks to get it in my hands. It's hard for me to get anything done while im working cause i dont have a set schedule, sometimes im off at 4pm and other times im off at 9 pm. Ofcourse i allways get a early day on sunday never fails.

130 16th ave NW for Mopac in calgary. The nice thing about getting a new one you get the kit that goes with it including the boost line. Performance parts center is another excellent place to go for parts they are on 32 ave 1695 32 ave to be exact.
