Oct 16 Armor Inc Dyno Day.
dog, so what did you run on the dyno? and did you dyno the 08 truck? Interested in comparing your numbers to my 2010 truck. Looks like we (dodge guys) are under dogs again in the HP wars.
Nice run Kev, almost 500rwhp, on a stock truck, just on a programmer, my truck would take a truck load of cash to get anywhere near those numbers.

Jay wasnt there Mike.
I was a little dissapointed with my numbers on the race tune, only 470 something as opposed to 459 on the street tune. There seems to be something wrong there to me... but I guess considering that I still have the cat on there and stock air filter I shouldnt complain... also the truck is getting amazing fuel mileage too now. I filled up but didnt top it up in Red Deer on saturday (darn pump quit at 75 bucks and I didnt feel like re authorizing my card again) ran around in Red Deer the whole day, did 2 different runs (4 pulls) on the dyno, went to Edmonton on Sunday, drove around in Edmonton all day, then off to Grasslands where I filled up, only 67 bucks.... The lie-O-meter is showing between 7 and 8 l per 100km or about 27 to 29 MPG I am super impressed. I also didnt quite use a 1/8 of a tank from Grasslands to here. I am going to fill it up anyways today so that I can get a more accurate reading on the fuel mileage

Wow thats some pretty good mileage numbers Kevin.. Impressive.
Alas, Cummins is in the back seat again in the HP wars. Which is gonna be a fact as long as it sells trucks, the engineering now has put a good amount of emphasis on getting more for less. More trucks sold (Ford 2:1 over others) makes a fat fund for engineering to make a good race engine.
Still I don't quite get how a bigger, heavier truck with 2 more jugs can get better mileage. But it seems to be fact. They seem to have altered the math for Heat engine combustion.

I think that the 6.7L dodge vs a 6.7 ford over the long haul stock, the dodge would have high costs attach to each maintaince cycle, for its dry technology. Jason, I don't know if you looked at whats required for maintaince check at 100000km, but I bet most of the emission equipment will have to be replaced. The ford has wear and tear items in its emission system, but most of the cleaning is done with the urea.
Kev, I'm not going to tell you wants required for a 2010 dodge to get 500rwhp, its more than a tuner. Probably should include a transmission, nozzles, modify CP and so on. I don't see a 6.7L making tons of power.

Did the hand calculation on mileage, 24.95 MPG, very happy with that. I also got some word from Eric as to why the HP was low on the Race tune, he figures it was due to the stock air filter. He said that I should be able to see another MPG and about 50 hp on that tune
I dont know about the new 6.7, but the 6.4 is sure a winner for sure. Its too bad that they ever released the 6.0, it sure left a black eye that is for sure.
As for working on them, ya they suck, but really what would you really do to them to be honest. You can make 600 hp without doing anything other than removing the dpf and a fresh air intake.
Not trying to preach, cause if they would have had the new body style rams out when I bought this one I probably would have been driving that instead
