need 24v valve spring tool

I need to borrow or rent the valve spring tool for removing valve springs while head is still on. its round, does all 4 per hole at the same time. I don't know the part # or anything, but I need to track one down. Any ideas?

The dodge manual part# is 8319-A, I'm sure you can get one from Mac's or Snap on. You could try NAPA, sometimes they supprise you. I have a single spring compressor. I've want one but never needed it yet. You pulling off your heavy springs off the old dodge?

Mike ya, I'l remove the 80lbers and rocker studs and HD pushrods. back to stock.

Jason, thats awesome, what do you want for rental. I can come to you, or you mean you're working away from the city? well actually today is my last day off anyways I'm onshift again till Tues next week if later next week works better for you.

This might be the last vp 24v I own so thats why borrowing the tool would be better than buying for me.

Thanks guys

Luke, you interested in taking the head back off the truck? I think Tate is looking for a o-ring head. You might even be able to sell him you're studs as well. Between you're studs and what I have kicking around in my garage, he could have a decent set of almost new studs. I found the turbo that you wanted and I'll have it available towards the thursday of next week. Tate is even thinking about trying you're mega HP DDP sticks. I'm curious on how well his P pump will work with the sticks. Its just time and beer and a whole bunch of black smoke.

Luke, I live out 1/2 way between Drumheller and Hanna-I'm pretty sure I'll have to come into the city next week on my days off (which begin Thursday) to get some more stuff to put my truck back together. I have the rebuilt 5600 sitting on the shop floor-but I stumbled across a deal on an '02 HO motor with 160K (mine has 427K and a pile of oil leaks that need fixing) and an '03 5600 and 271 t/case with 80K-so that stuff is currently sitting in the shop as well waiting for time to pull my motor, transfer stuff to the new one, and install the works.

Never even thought about rental-if you want to buy me a case of beer that's fine-if you don't that's fine too. Let me know if you need it sooner-maybe I can ship it in to you-although the long weekend will play havoc with that plan possibly. My parents may be coming in at some point-I could probably send it with them as well. Long as I get it back at some point next weekend, all will be good...on the off-chance I need it for my project.

ok thats cool. next week would be fine too. I'll only need a short time to swap the springs.

good score on the new gear too. the 5600/271 is a nice touch.

I'll let you know if someone I know is coming that way over the weekend-and we can make arrangements to get it to you. One way or another, I'll get it there!

I'll PM you with my cell #....
