My build thread

I am going to start detailing what is going on with my truck here. Complete with pictures and all... this picture shows the box I built tonight to ship the head off this week... I know it isnt Mike Holmes approved, but it is strong and will protect the head for shipping

So, Dave, can I get you to help me out with a small amount of bodywork? Maybe I could pay your way up here for a long weekend and have a bodywork party? LOL

LOL,,, this is true... well i can tell you for a fact that it is going to be light,, and it is going to have a fair bit of HP.... just depends on my ability to tune the engine and the suspension to get it all to work together. I wish I had the time and the skill (not to mention the time) to change it over to a 4 link in the rear. Next winter that will be done

You haven't heard Kevin?...You have to put some chrome on the engine...You will go faster..

Just a inside joke my buddy from Lethbridge talk about..Speed shop (1980's) there was selling chrome stuff for engines..Their sales pitch...Chrome makes your car go faster...Its amazing how my people believed them...

Just curious Kev, who are you using to ship the head? The reason I ask is that I'm currently in a battle with Canadapost about getting my PCM overnighted to H&S and its still sitting in their Edmonton depot. We'll see what they have to say about it tomorrow

Back on topic, is there gonna be some EFI live involved for this build or a different tuning that doesn't involve computers?

I havent figured out who to ship it with.. I am going to bring it with me on Friday when I drive to Edmonton. To ship from FTM is like taking it up the you know what. I was kinda thinking of CFL. Any thoughts anyone?

As for tuning, they, as of right now, do not have efi live available for the 03 ecm. So I will be using the smarty SSR.
