Machine Shop in Calgary or area.......

Anyone know who has a lathe big enough to trim 1/4" off the bead seat off 22.5" aluminum Alcoas?

Negative, but where did you scam the wheels from? You get the adapters already? I'm looking forward to seeing this.

Actually, you might try Trevor Colebank at Colecraft. He's pretty busy, but his lathe might be big enough. Give him a shout. Goes by Tee Rev on p-shop.

Eh I hand picked the rims from Empire's stock pile. did you ever see them? not bad shape...not real good but not bad. Got adapters already.

I found that no small time operator will have a machine the size needed. I found one at Inland Machine. I'll get them done next week.

some pics por vous.........

.........and bingo bango. some dude in TX did up this '96 almost identical to where mines headed. but he used a VE rotary 6BT.

Mind if I ask how much for the wheels? I'd love to scam some peterbilt wheels for the dually. PM me if you'd rather keep it quiet. Things gonna look pimp!

Have you test fitted them on the truck yet? I'm interested to know how far the wheels stick out past the fender?

I haven't yet, mainly cause Im putting the D80 out back with airbags. So I don't even know what the WMS of the Franken-80 hybrid will end up being. there'll be no leaf springs to worry about on the inside though.

theres a guy in calgary, running around with a black newer Chevy dually crewcab on american force rims. really sharp unit. his rears do stick out past the dually flares. He also drives the HotRodded Purple Pete gravel truck with the mirror shine boxsides and dump trailer with mirror sides. Hes got a Detroit in the truck thats hogged out to big power. I've got a friend that works at Waterous he told me when they had the Pete on their dyno. it make big power. like 800 or 900 HP I can't recall exactly but I'll find out.

You're planning on running twins on the new ride? Hows the other lady running? You ever pull any hard pulls on her? Its hard to baby the old girl. I just looked under my truck, its covered with oil. My trailer has a nice lubed coating to. At least it wont rust... Can wait to see you truck when its done. Sweet ride, I want to do a 1/2ton chevy 90ish CTTD, my wife just isn't buying into it. My neighbor has a 80 S10 thats been asking for a 5.9L worked cummin installation. My wife isn't buying that one either.
