I've got the dowels to hold the tappets if you are gonna yank the cam to swap case. Probably want to reset the timing when you do it. If you want a hand, let me know.

I thought the exact same thing. If you buy a cam get a colt stage 3 cam. It works pretty nice in Tate's truck. Wakes up the mid-top end power range quite abit. I have a few decent 12v-24v cores laying around. I want to put one into my 10, just to see what happens

Is this sort of like the shoe makers kids feet go bare??

Well at least you have a few spare motor's around at least one of them should have a good timing cover. Still sucks that it happened.

Rob, you going to rebuild the motor? Maybe pull the motor and throw on some fresh paint. Make it all shiney again, its just parts and time/beer. Better than new at least.

Which/who's gear you buying?

We should get it that gear measured up so we can build our own gear down the road. I have to buy a timing gear shortly as well. A decent machine shop should be able to do the work. The engine gearbox cover plate is easy, the gear is abit more work. I want to get a few other pieces built as well. Hopefully we can get the mains gridle and few other bits and pieces built locally and save a few $$$.
