Joining the 6.7 club

Bought a new 2012 SLT quad cab 4x4 Diesel 6 speed manual today. Hopefully take delivery of it tomorrow. It was time to let the 05 retire from my service.
Plus needing a reliable truck for work I figured I should try a new one.
The 03 was a peice of junk, the 05 was decent, heres hoping the 6.7 is a dream.

Congrats on the new truck!

Coming from an 04' to a 2012 was a very good change I've found. I'm very happy with mine, although it is an auto and not a stick. My only complaint is the fuel economy, but I expected that with the emissions junk on it, which is going to be ditched here come spring time.

Deletes, a stronger clutch and hydraulics and you'll be laughing with that rig!

The truck is Flame Red. Is a Quad Cab 4x4 Diesel 6 speed manual.

So far I have only put 10km on the truck. I like the exhaust brake, interior lighting is awesome, the built in inverter and the rear slider.

I find the seats really comfortable, and seems to be more spacious then the 3rd gens. The guys will liek that more.
The two under floor ice boxs is a good idea.

I will get some pictures of it tomorrow. I am pretty happy so far.

I would delete the truck ASAP. It just fixes most of the real issues with these new trucks. Congrats on the truck, mine has worked flawlessly since I bought mine. Nice looking truck buddy.

Derrick, does your truck have the high idle option? I think H&S has a tune to enable the high idle, if you don't. Sure comes in handy in the cold weather, for those guys that actually use our trucks for those 14-20hr days of operation

No it doesnt have the high idle. The dealer wants $700 to enable it. I guess it as stupid as them sending a truck to Canada in the winter time with 15w40 in it.
Typical Dodge extra for this extra for that, yet if you buy a automatic it is free.

My 12' came with the high idle... Or is it a standard thing on the autos? $700 is highway robbery

I already dumped the 15w40 for Mobil 0w40 synthetic, right before the cold snap too. Its downright ignorant for them to let a truck go out with oil that turns to molasses below -15...

Edit, didn't see the free option part about the high idle on the autos
