Kevin, you really need to accept your place in the Northeast, not the Northwest. It's been coldish, but the wind chill has been the killer around these parts.

We were out running the crane at NAIT's Souch campus. -20 with 45km/h gusts, trying to put tractor tires on telephone poles. Good thing I threw the insulated coveralls in the truck, I would have been a popsicle by the end of it.

Good old Sweetgrass. Been stuck in that holding cell once or twice, just on trying to get a work permit. I had to reapply to become a Canadian. International borders are fun. Been refused entry into USA for not having a criminal record, only drug dealers and run away convicts are allowed entry. I have also been barred for entry 48hrs just for asking where the bathroom was.

Nah, that was our rigging/signaling course.

I do have my overhead crane certificate though, but it expires every three years.

Mine started today. Enjoying the sweet drive. I think that it was -23 below. I'm enjoying the snow. The ice has been fun stuff. I even tried some flat out gravel roads today. Just put her in 4X4, and put the foot onto the floor. These trucks handle like they are on rails on the 4x4 mode in the snow. Just have to sit and learn how to drive again.

I had to plug the old girl into start, but its a small price to pay.
