Freightliner in Red Deer for a headgasket or any Cummins dealer should be able to get the gasket they just need your engine serial #.
ordered from peak, should be here tomorrow. Thanks. 6 weeks to heal from hernia surgery and I can get back to fixing my truck.
are they head gaskets the same between them all? I got two in my cummins kit, a thick and thin one, and still have the thin one left over.
there a bit different but they do work
I ordered the standard thickness.
well if anyone wants my old headgasket, im sure i could part with it. just let me know.
ACK!!! What did you do to my old truck!?!!?
Just kiddin, good to see you've still got it and are working it! |
Case IH should be able to get the gasket for you
I am not sure if there is one in Rocky but phone Olds they are tolerant of the first gen guys bugging them Cough cough[redface] |
I looked at some of your posts, sucks that the tranny is slipping. That TC was an aftermarket HD unit but I cann't remember who made it. It was pretty tight when I put it in, you must have been working it good!
The flexplate is from a 2nd gen Dodge, much heavier than the 1st gen origianl(still have the torn up original hanging on the garage wall). Valve body is stock except for a couple of extra turns on the line pressure screw. Get the 4500 in yet? |
No I don't have the 4500 in yet. I got the engine out and on a stand then work got busy, and I ended up with a hernia so trucks just sitting there for a while.
