Engine Dyno

seems in the last couple weeks, after we were talking about engine dynos at my shop. one of our customers made a deal to bring in 30 12v cummins to our shop to run on the dyno. 1st one got done last week. so all the pipeing and adapters are already MADE!!!

so I'm going to talk to the service manager tommorrow and see about dyno time. I'd like to run my 12v after I swap the head too. see what it'll do. run it in again. in case it has to sit for a while before getting swapped into the Ford.

Sweet deal with the 30 -12v's. Wish I had a few extra's sitting around. Love to drop one in a Ford F250 XLT Lariat crew cab, long box. Are you running twins on your 12?

Good timing. Hopefully you don't mind a pee pumped 24V running the dyno. Have a 12V and a 24V ready to run. Have a few different combos to try. Once I'm done up here, I will have to drop by and chat.

I have a high miler 24V 53 block, just been curious on how strong that they really are, after all it's 53 block. Maybe real fun if someone had a 13mm CDS that they would want to lend.

I would love to be in attendance for that! Engine dynoing would be cool to see.

Yep. same stand. and we got flywheel and adapter. can only run mechanical cummins. our software only controls Detroits that are electronic through the dyno program. the chassis dyno will do any engine with J1939 communications. but the engine dyno can't.

Luke, I will have to come down and check out how the dyno is configured. I want to do some data logging for a few different combos. Just waiting on parts, might be July before I'm ready to run. Have a few engine configurations in mind to run out.

Waterous calgary. We'll dyno just about anything. Not sure what cost is exactly. Probably 2-3 hours shop time for the guy to run it.
