IIRC with the load settings on the Dynodynamics getting turbo boost isn't such a problem. I remember my run taking a good couple of seconds to build boost then off to the races. Its a variable load dyno. It tries to maintain a certain speed increase rate on the rolls no matter the power applied.

Wow, sounds good so far. I think the end of August would be OK.. after all the dust has settled from the AAB.

What kinda of boost is Brandon pulling on a WOT pull? He's running the HX-40/K-31 combo correct?
You bet but those turbo"s are really worked over with some Garrett parts and stuff. He's around 55 psi. it cleans up well too. Next is a intercooler and NOS.

They got the dyno working pretty good but it does read lower than AFI's dyno in Edmonton. We had that shop pretty smokey....
Brad said $100.00 per person but that gives you runs till your happy with the numbers. I'm sure we can work him down a bit for a first time diesel dyno event. He is super stoked for a event. Jason, let me know when you guys wanna have it and me and you can get it all flanged up.
Right on that's not bad at all. Maybe I will try out there dyno I haven't changed anything but would like to do more tuning. That would give a decent baseline to see how it compares to the Dynojet. What model of DynoDyamics do they have? Also really need to get my brothers truck dialed in soon so maybe we'll book a few hours one day.

I'd like to attend just to see the runs on those twins...

I remember talking to Myron about the dyno but can't remember the exact model.. I think its the 450DS, not sure if it has the aux retarder or not..

DodgeDiesel, hows the 40 set-up for the compressor/turbine? Which turbine housing/wastegate size and wastegate open pressure? Have you done any playing yet with the wastegate? I found that the lower wastegate pressure on the secondary allows the primary to load harder. You using the wastegate on the K-31?

At 55psi, the twins are just starting to lite/wake up

Ok... Dumb question time.. I get confused between primary and secondary. I talk stages of compression in my day2day so is the primary the large first stage compressor?

Select-a-date....Sorta..

When would the AB chapter like to do this event? Throw them out there as to your preferences and we can narrow it down from there.

OMG Mike, you are speaking chinese to me brother!!!
All I know is that they are a worked over set of PDR Twins. Hybrid HX40 over a K31. They used to be on Brett Boyds silver Dodge. That 6 speed that was at the Blackout last year. His name is BOYDO on the DTR.

I have to take a look see at them. I'm curious on how PDR builds it for the 40/K-31 twins. I used to run my 40 at 22-24psi on the wastegate.

Follow the compressors. Primary is first stage.

I'll be game for for a dyno at the end of August or so. Sooner we hammer out a date, the sooner I can prepare for taking time off work.
