Winter readiness checklist:
Safety: New winter tires, check! (thanks to Stephen at Khaos).
Warmth: Sealskin mitts I picked up on Baffin Island last summer, check!
Skincare: Tin of Bag Balm, check! -

geez I had totally forgotten about that stuff - we had if on the farm when I was a kid - then I saw it on the internet recently for some reason. Anyway, Peavy Mart has it. Amazing stuff, smell reminds me of a mixture of saddles, old wood smoke and veterinary antiseptic, lol. Plus, cutest tin ever!

I drove from Calgary to Grande Praire yesterday, only saw a few flakes. Little rain. Drove from GP to Taylor to Chetwan, still nothing here. Must have missed the snow somewhere along this trip. Luck I left when I did, might even broke my record from Airdrie to GP. 6 1/2hrs, on cruise most of the trip.

You guys enjoy the snow, down there eh..

What did you go with? I'll be time for new ones in the spring.

Looks like its about 4" out front of my house. I has hoping for more snow, because it really doesn't affect me. It was a bit slick when I drove back from my sisters at 11pm last night, and there was only about 1/2" on the ground then.

I was just about to pull the trigger on REVO 2's but the price has gone up recently. I went with what I have always got, BFG ATKO only this time they are the E rated version instead of the D. The FROD dealer in Lacombe has the best deal, all 4 installed for $1050 with tax.
