I don't know what to do...Got a offer of $3,700 for the falcon....In one way I should sell it and in another way I don't..I was making 38 to 40 MPG on this car..What to do....Save the pain of storing it or let it go...

in that kind of shape it has to be worth more than 3700. maybe double that at least.

It doesn't need much...New exhaust and maybe brake wheel cyclinders...It has new brakes ,carb and generator...It does need a TLC...I have to decide soon.....I think I could be about $800 to $1000 off on my price...Would like to put my paint job on it........Thats what I was planning..I know I have the choice.....What would you guys do?????

63 Falcons in that condition don't show up every day. I have seen cars less than that condition at car shows. If it has sentimental value as well as just being in great shape, I would have a hard time getting rid of it.

I would keep it. If your sitting on the fence right now, you'll regret selling.

It's got sentimental value, it's clean and original, you know what's wrong with it and most important....it's not a belly button car, not everyone has one!

I repeatedly kick myself for selling a one owner 64 Ford Fairlane Sport Coupe complete with a K Code Hi-Po 289 4 speed. I was 16 and didn't really know what it was until a few years later. I was the second owner and it was mint. The guy that I sold it to offered me a good buck over what I paid and I sold it. I just saw a profit, not the cars potential.

Keep it.

Jeff

Thanks guys...I kind wanted someone to tell me to keep it.Just got frustrated all because I lost the storage in Sask and wasn't sure what I was going to do.I pulled the ad today...I bought this car also from the orginal owner in 1981 and drove it once to Lethbridge and back. Its been in storage since then. Its great that I have offers to store it here, until I get around to fix it up,to the way I want...

Nice car Dave, if you need the money sell the car, but if you don't keep it. Like everyone else has said, you'll regret it. You can't keep them all. My first car was a beater 74 dodge dart, tons of rust, three bald tires and a 904 auto transmission with no reverse. A $200 special.I didn't miss that car. It had a mighty slant six, with a flat lobe camshaft (no lobes). It still ran and got 28mpg. I even drove it with no air filter for a while. I think that its three Kia's now.

You can not kill that old slant six, that was one of the toughest motors ever built. They also had them in a bunch of farm equipment.

Chris, I even ran it out of oil a few times (I couldn't squeeze out any oil). Thats why the cam was flat. So far my 02 CTD has been treated abit better.

I had to park sideways in the parking lots, as I didn't have reverse. I did have a big stereo in it, so it was all good. It still had enough ump to burn the tires off (only one wheel spun and it was always the good one). I used to bug the local tire shops for their old tires. Awe I miss high school. I had a couple party inside, so the interior was shot as well. You can fit in about 10 kids inside. I wonder if dodge even thought about that when they designed it in 74???

We had a nold valiant with a slant six that we would bomb around the fields and stuff with, same thing it would run out oil and water and still get you home.
