That is what i run in my bread truck,(07 GM Cube 6.0,325HP gasser)----no problems so far as that is most i can get out of any battery is 3-3 1/2 years, but i tend to drive a little more than the average. The stock one took a dump at 75,000KM along with the alternator, coming up on 250,000Km in 3.5 years with this truck.Probable change it out before next years winter as i idle a ton over the course of a year between calls in the cold.DW

Rob, I'll buy two group 31's. I'll be by later this week. Thanks buddy. My current batteries are nearing the end of my patients.

Hey any of you guys have diesel fuel gel up issues last week? I for the first time had my truck gel up last weekend? Wondering if I bought summer fuel or some trash can mix last week.

2 International 5 ton bread trucks gelled up after filling at Coop off of 52 St SE in Foothills industrial, near Glenmore last week---both died within a click of each other on Deerfoot. No problem so far running generous amounts of Amsoil winter treatment.DW-----------PS i installed the Mopar winter front made for my truck last week, nice quality, truck warms up twice as quick now in the cold and pretty much have good heat within 5 minutes of driving to work at 3.00AM each morning.Temp gauge rides the middle for most driving that i do.Sister may find one for Christmas under the tree for her 06 as she need it more than me driving in and out of well sites in NW Alberta in -40C.

Mike, timeline and area sound familiar???? What are you willing to bet it is the exact same fuel as just down the block, with this "fuel shortage" going on.

How is the fuel "shortage" affecting you guys down south? Up here my home town gas stations have been out of diesel for almost a week now.

Other then the above mentioned summer diesel gelling up on people. Mostly it is just a big price gouge around Calgary, at least that I have noticed. Most places still have fuel.

I have not seen any outages yet but ---.25 cents difference in gas compared to Diesel----cheapest diesel so far is 124.9 at gas plus in the NE down from where i work for regular folk-----Flying J card lock/commercial(off of 23ST NE---FORMALLY SHELL CARD LOCK) is at 120.9 as of today.Last month at work i burned though $1800.00 in gas in 6500Km of driving---glad i was not buying diesel for the company ride with these prices---1.00-1.05 for gas seem cheap compared to diesel prices.DW

Batteries are installed. 2 in truck and 1 in Echo. I will gladly give reports over next years about how they do. They are Interstates.
I think I need to replace both connectors on the driver's side soon, they are both kinda sketchy. The negative one is cracked by the bolt. On the positive one, they mid-sized red cable that goes into the fuse box by the battery is frayed and only about half the wire strands are still attached.
Why do I think I am going to be buying some kind of heavy duty crimped for that project...

Come to think of it I already own a honking big fence crimped and a plumbing crimper, there has to be a way I can make one of those work.

I dont think either one of those crimpers will work. Princess Auto sells a crimper for welding lugs (I think its on sale right now actually) - its not ideal (like a Thomas and Betts crimper) but it will do the job if you know how to use it properly. I have a similar crimper and am looking at modifying it so it does a better job.

You can probably rent one from Westburn Electric or Eecol Electric or even from an electrical contractor
