Trying to find a thread..

I read in here someone made a post about doing a fix on their new truck. It was about turning on the exhaust brake full time when the key gets turned on. I would love to do this. I cannot for the life of me find this post or thread.

Can any of you guys point me in the right direction please...

Thanks in advance.
Gerald

I lose about 1-2 mpg driving around with the EB on. Makes it difficult to coast between stop lights/signs. Yeah, I know it shouldn't make a difference at idle but try it sometime, it does.

That mod will only work with the 3rd gens. The fourth gen switch is a different style and uses a type of board instead of individual wiring.

However, the new MiniMaxx and BlackMaxx update has the option for auto on exhaust brake.

If you have the EB on and intake air is cold enough, the brake will do its cold warm up pinch while you wait at the stop light. That would account for the mileage drop. It does for me especially in the winter.

Other than that, its priceless in the amount of brake usage I avoid in town.
