Towing Behind MH - Nav System Clock On

Just got the truck set up to tow behind the motorhome (cl. IV hitch up front combined with base plates for tow bar), and when towing it I noticed (after driving three hours) that the Nav System stays lit up (clock time showing on screen) when the key is just in the first position as you're supposed to have it when being towed.
I'm assuming the key must be in that position to keep the steering free, but wonder if having the Nav System Clock Display on all the time will kill the batteries after towing so not running engine for more hours...(and wondering if there's other consequences)
Any suggestions?

It would have to be on for quite a long time. The screen displaying just the time is probably drawing just a few milliamps....

I wouldnt worry about it. Just make sure its off so that none of amp, sat radio etc is powered up.

Next time I am playing around I'll disconnect the batt's and see what draw that display has, if no one else has done that...

Of interest (perhaps to some) - the '10 tracks a lot better than the '06 ever did - hardly knew it was back there...until I went up a six percent grade! (and the snow plow mounts - who knows those are there? - made good places to mount the base plate/hitch to - extra strong) I've got a friend who's looking at ordering a '11 to tow behind his MH - but he wants a 3500 Mega with dually...that'll really put a load on a 400 Cummins going up a 6%...!
