I had my tailgate off a while back and when I re-intalled it an then moved the truck, the backup camera came on for a second and then to a blue screen. At the same time the lock on the tailgate does not work. So it seems no power going to tailgate. I checked the fuse for the camera, and it is good. Reasoned that doors lock so no fuse gone there. A fellow I know says, "you're missing somethig" He may be right. Does anyone out there have any good advice for me?

 

Disconnect the wiring connector and inspect it. Look for corrosion.

Connecters an continuity checked after the main wire that runs along frame, to the camera, and tailgate. still norhing. so it has to be a lack of power.
