Smarty Jr and recent ECM flash
Hey guys, I just ordered a DPF delete kit with the Smarty Jr. I was checking out RSD's website and i noticed that in their Smarty listing it says that it might not work it the computers been flashed since Nov/12. I just bought the truck brand new and had them put 35's on it. They changed the setting for tire size so the speedo is accurate, I'm wondering if this smarty is going to work for me and what the problems might be. Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

Check out this thread:

If you got the flash before January 5th you might be OK, but don't take it back!!
I mean, you'd think a good dealer would say "hey, we noticed you have removed the DPF, EGR, etc., we're not going to connect the star scan tool because that would wipe out your programming and you'd have to permanently return it to stock, but that means we can't cover such-and-such (fill in the blank with anything that requires them to plug in the star scan) under warranty."

That thread is about it being flashed after a tune is put in, how does this affect a truck thats been flashed before the tune is in? Sorry if it's blatantly obvious and I'm missing it, I'm just hoping I didn't waste a bunch on money on a tuner that won't work for me.
