Post Remove or Leave EGR hardware.

My history in a nut shell: When it comes to trucks I love my Ram's, when it comes to cars I'm sorry to say but I love my Vett's.

Ok, On my 2010 3500 6.7 I'm really just looking for better fuel mileage so I just finished the following stuff. To early to tell if my goal has been accomplished. One thing for sure it's more fun to drive if you know what I mean.

1. Install S&B cold air intake.
2. Remove 200lbs of stock exhaust and install 4" turbo back with straight through muffler.
3. Smarty J67ME

My dilemma is whether or not to remove and blank off the EGR system.
With the work I've done and the EGR still hooked up it appears that the ECM still wants to control the EGR. Once my 6.7 reaches aprox. 60DegC it appears the ECM stops controlling leaving the EGR in the closed position.
My first thought was maybe this is normal and the ECM uses the EGR for quicker engine warm up. As I live in a cold winter climate (central Alberta Canada) maybe this is a good reason to leave the EGR active.

Anyways I'm looking for feedback to help with my dilemma.

I have my EGR servo and throttle valve disconnected on my '11 and it works just fine. In fact the EB works better with the 2 unplugged
