Just a quick question for those of you with deleted 6.7s - I know the H&S MM automatically intercepts all the emissions delete triggers for the CEL, but if I have a REAL problem, will those codes get through and trip the CEL?

Just want to make sure I know if something's not right. Thanks in advance.

 

I've never had a code since I installed mine almost 4 years ago but I can tell you that after I did my son's 2011 he had a CEL for the emission system that did not go away and we were unable to reset it, I forget what it was but an update of the MM fixed the problem. So... yes I "think" a non emission code will still throw a CEL, that would make sense but I don't know for sure.

 

Thanks for the reply. It would just give me a little peace of mind if someone could confirm that (outdated software aside) that the truck WILL let me know if something is really wrong.

I do too much long distance towing to risk being "blind." Thanks!
