Can this be something installed to replace the factory filter set-up?

I have never seen one on our trucks before. It should work though, right?

Thank goodness there is a major Cummins repair facility less than 2 miles from my house. I will take the print-out there tommorow and see what they say. This set-up followed by a 2-Micron would be nice.

Ya... I'm scared to know what the price is. Probably an arm and a leg.

Ya, but why not just get the Airdog or FASS if that's the case?

just got off the phone with local cummins shop. they are calling fleetguard as the part numbers are not coming up in their system. he is going to call me back with price for the 180gph system and filter replacement costs.

got a fax from cummins. the lowest micron for the 180gph unit is 7.

part number fh23600 $248.91

filters available are 7, 10 and 25 microns. not low enough for me unless there is a smaller micron filter available. it would still be cool though for fuel heater and water sep. might think about it since I have the donaldson p551311 inline also.

using filter fs19730 (7 micron).

edit- looking it over, he did not get me the specs/price on the 180gph unit. only the 90gph unit. going to call back.

I am still waiting on my Cummins shop to get back with me but I am sure the prices will be similar.

Did your guy say that it would fit on our trucks?

its not specifically made for our trucks so you will have to do some mods. I called him back and he said that the 180 and 200 gph units are not available and only a 7 micron (smallest) filter or larger. I am going to pass. I just ordered 2 more filter heads and donaldson 3 micron 99% efficient fuel filter/water separators with bowls and will be here next week. then game on for adding 2 more filters to my xfer system. will always fill from top tank and get tripple filtration and use the OEM filter as another water sep since the fuel will be screened down far smaller than it is capable of doing.

will take pics of the setup after I am done. I have a 85 gallon tank in the bed and transfer fuel from the top tank to the bottom tank via a 150 gallon per hour FASS pump being filtered thru a donaldson 3 micron/99% efficient fuel filter. going to add 2 more donaldson fuel/water sep with bowls. if I only fill the top tank and then transfer fuel to the bottom tank, then the filtration set up that I will have will be much greater than the stock filter. the stock filter will only be used as a water separator since the filtration level is not as good as the filters I have added.
