I was standing at idle and the temperture gauge readout was 200 and the oil pressure gauge readout was 40.BUT at the EVIC the temperture was 170 and the oil pressure was 29.Which one do I belive??? they should be the same???Anybody out there have a idea as to why??Or have the same situation??Thanks in advance

I don't watch mine often but the times I have checked them they both read the same. I have about 11k miles on my 2010 with no issues...."fingers crossed"...hope I didn't just jinx myself there.

Don't believe either gauge reading as they are just a made up number. There is just an oil pressure switch so the computer just tells you what it thinks it should be and not what it actually is. If you want to know your real oil pressure you will need to install an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.
I added an oil pressure gauge to my '06 and its reading was WAY different from the factory gauge. It was very interesting to watch, especially when towing when the oil would heat up.....

Read this earlier, and, today while in the big city (Lafayette) I took notice that neither differed by more than 3 or 4 degrees/psi of each other.

Now, as 6 Shaker said, whether or not to trust them is still out for debate.

Thanks guys, Its a shame that with a truck this expensive you don't get decent gauges.
