Trading a 5.9 for 2010 6.7 - any regrets?

I did a test drive on a 2010 6.7 L Cummins today - made a very nice first impression!

Thing is - I have a perfectly good 2005 with the 5.9 L. Anyone here make the switch and do you have any regrets? What do you like most (and least) about the 2010 compared to the 'old' 3rd generation Cummins? Or are you wishing you could've still gotten the 3rd gen/5.9 again?

I just traded in a perfectly good '06 for my new 2010 Dually. Absolutely no regrets except for the new truck payment.

I do miss the mileage of the old 5.9 when empty, but the 6.7 actually gets better mileage pulling my trailer, so its kind of a wash.

All of the features of the new one a SO much better...If you trade I don't think you'll regret it, but you might miss the mileage of your old one.

I traded in my 2005 for this 2010.

No regrets. I've had 2 2nd gens, 2 3rd gens and now this 2010.

There is a quantum leap between this truck and the prior gens. It's the nicest truck I've ever seen. Glad to own it.

What does Ford say? "Come drive one." That will be all it takes.

Other than better fuel economy as 6 Shaker says above, I can't find anything I like better about my 5.9 3rd gen -- And I liked that truck just fine.

Once the emission stuff gets fixed up it should be a decent all around truck. The RFE68 still hasn't been proven to stand-up for trucks over the 500rwhp as of yet. The newer truck is definately bigger feeling than the older truck. My older truck feels like a sports car and the new truck is sluggish and slow. Anyways, hopefully I can fix issue some soon. The exhaust brake is very nice, if you tow.

Traded an '06 for the '10, and absolutely no regrets. Love all the features now offered that weren't back then - a gentleman farmer's truck that is not far from a Caddy in many ways. And since I and many of my riders were tiring of getting up into a five inch lifted truck with much bigger tires, this "lower" truck is more popular as far as accessibility. (leveled and 34's still looks better than stock - but not as radical as five and 35's) For me, the way I drive the mileage is about a wash - no better or worse.

Thanks everyone - good inputs. Overwhelmingly positive for the new model and all it needs to be perfect is no car payments and better mpg. I can see my 05 prolly won't be my last Cummins!

I traded an 06 megacab with 43,000 miles for my 2010 crew cab dually. The new truck is flat out awesome. The only thing I don't like is the way the rear seat flip up. And there is next to no storage under them with the amplifier and sub. I do miss the megacab, but as a whole.....the 2010 is one bad *** truck.
