Just saw commercial on TV today by a local dealer advertising 2012 RAM 2500/3500 trucks with the 6.7 diesel engine, no diesel exhaust filter required. What is this? Are they changing to a different system? Does this mean we can legally remove the DPF on all our older 6.7s?

I would guess they said No Diesel Exhaust Fluid needed....the Chevy's and Fords use DEF fluid as will the Cummins next year.

Yeah, the Dodge commercials have been hyping the no DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) requirement vs. Chebby and Furd, but probably not for long. Rumor has it next year it's coming...for better or for worse. Your local dealer's ad is messed up.
