Just to be clear - 2011 3500 CTD has ONE fuel filter?
My 2011 had one fuel filter. Got mine at Geno's Garage and Truckhelp.com. This website may sell them as well. Easy job to do your self. First wipe down the hoses and stuff above the filter canister, don't want any dirt dropping in there.
As far as I know the implementation of two filters wasn't until 13-14 trucks. One on the motor and one behind the tank and above the rear axle which contains a water in fuel sensor which has a replaceable gasket for it with the filter. Never saw but one up on the engine in earlier trucks. Hope this helps.

Headed in Friday for my "45000 mile" oil change. They suggested fuel filter, transmission service and brake service. The bobble head on the phone kept saying "filters" which is why I asked. They are quoting $300 ea for the transmission and brake service. I'm going to rotate my tires this weekend and will check the brakes but what kind of "service" are they going to perform at $300? I assume the trans service is a fluid and filter change?

The transmission has 2 filters and if you plan on doing the transmission oil changes yourself down the road I strongly recommend getting an after market deep pan with a drain plug in it.
I might add that after the deep pan installation my transmission temps are 10-12 deg below where they were before, the drain plug is worth every penny of the cost, the lower temps were a bonus. The two transmission filters about $50 and the the fuel filter about $50, I think it takes 12 qts of fluid with the deep pan. If you do take it in for the engine oil change check that you air conditioning works afterwards, the 2 wires going to the compressor are short and in the way, first oil and filter on my kids 2011 they ripped the wires from the connector luckily the dealer sells a pig tail repair $35 plus the hassle so must happen lots.

thanks Busboy. I'm going to have them do the oil (they've been doing it since new and haven't screwed up the AC yet...) and the trans service. I noticed no drain plug meaning it's a pan drop to drain. It it's $300 P/L it's worth it to me to have them get messy. I can do the fuel filter, I did it plenty of times on my 01.5 2500.
