My check engine light came on 1200 miles on the truck. Had auto Zone put a scanner on it it showed U3017, but would not tell what it is. Any Ideas? Is it safe to drive the truck? it is my daily driver now.

Take it into the dealer when you can, they will need to do a software update to get rid of the code

 

There is a PCM flash update and DCU update that needs to be done.

 

I had the same code come up last week and they flashed my computer. Something to do with the ignition switch. There was a TSB on it. On my work order it says they reprogrammed my DCU and PCM.
I am still trying to find where I can get all the codes not just the P codes.

 

There are about 24 modules and each one has about 50 codes the PCM has about 150 codes do the math.
