Check Engine light

I got the dreaded Engine light on my way back from Pahrump today. No noticeable issues and no messages in the memory. However I can not find any instructions on how to get the engine codes for the 2013. Since there is no key, I cant cycle the ignition like I did on my '03. I have done the search and no luck. Any one have the magic combination to getting the codes on the '13 trucks?

Thank you!!!

stop by an Auto Zone. They will plug in and look at your codes. MAybe a local member has an OBD code reader? I have one up in Sacramento if anyone up north needs to see what's going on!

The 13's have no key? Not even the black fob plug thing like the 10-12's? My 12 has the plastic plug type key and turning it on an off three times still spits out codes on the odometer.

A $75 code reader really should be standard equipment for serious CTD owners. I keep one under the back seat.

That said, my '03 never threw a code in the 8 years, 100k miles I owned it.

Just wondering what the code/s were, my sons 2013 truck just got the CEL and he doesn't have a code reader with him, he's too used to having a mini max, instead he has a 200mile round trip to get the codes read, I told him to buy a code reader while he's there. My money's on the O2 sensors and if it is then Dodge fails again DEF or no DEF.
