Selling the Hemi? I'm glad you didn't upgrade the suspension yet.
Let me know if you're still interested in a test drive in my truck.

Was literally set to order $$$ of goodies for her the day I received a full-bone offer. Sometimes I'm a fatalist and let things play out for me.

I bought mine for 14K off sticker and I'm also getting 25 mpg

Seriously though I think you guys suggesting these trucks can be had for 14K under sticker need to be adding taxes, title, and tags so everyone can see the true cost.

That's why we are talking about OFF sticker and not OTD.

What's confusing about that?

Ok I fell right into that one. Still though it seems to me OTD is the only number that matters.

The true price matters only for the buyer because total price comparision is only useful comparing apples to apples.

Options vary, registration has a huge variation between locations , and if buyers choose to finance their rate depends on credit/downpayment etc. Way to many factors to consider.

Maybe you could get $10k off MSRP without throwing in the financing, but who can do that except a cash buyer? I got the $5k rebates and 0% financing...which adds up to MANY thousands of dollars off of the actual price paid. I was happy with that.

OK, I just bought a 2007 5.9 Laramie. I left it there until Tuesday in case my Hemi buyer falls through (meeting him at the bank so risk is minimal although I don't want to jinx m'self).

Knowing I was on the hunt, they called to tell me a sale this weekend... $12K off sticker... When I got there after the 1-1/2 hr drive they said oops we goofed that's only on the half tons. The bigger trucks are $10K off. After some grumbling on my part and budging like a boulder with them backpedaling trying to get me to buy at $11K, then $11250, then $11500, they agreed to honor thy mistake. I do believe it was a mistake as the factory rebate is $4K on the big boys and $6K on the 1/2 tons. My $44.5K truck cost me $32.5K before T&L.

I felt I did REAL WELL on this deal and that's better than Dave Smith would do (unless I bought the Dually Megacab that can't seem to sell at $13K off). The $14K number is still elusive for almost everyone, it seems.

Come Tuesday I hope to become an official member here.

Yup and Yup.

I have to confess, it is the baseline Laramie.

Basically an SLT with Leather. Just what I wanted (although a sunroof would have been killer).

It does have the tow package and LSD... both musts for me.

Wink

I'm glad everybody can see through the smoke and mirrors now...

If you can buy a truck that stickers for $46k, for $40K OutTheDoor without getting a high interest rate (9-12%) than you are doing good...

Anytime you can drive something out for less than the sticker your not doing bad...

The best deal I have worked is $40,601 DRIVE OUT !!!!

2007 CTD Quad 4x4 Short Bed SLT with 6 disk indash, heated mirrors and sliding back glass Window Sticker $47,489

Holey Smokes I went to my local dealer who just changed ownership and all the diesel's were over $50K w/ markup There was a mega cab for $60 as well as a 6" Superlift with 37's for $60K as well. Heck the Hemi 4x4 were well into the $40's.

I realize it all BS markup and what not but the even the MSRP was wayyy high.

Did DC raise their prices on all the 08's Its CRAZY over their.

Well it's a done deal and I didn't jinx myself. I'm now the proud owner of an Inferno Red QC 4X4 CTD Laramie. Thanks for all the price reports. It helped a bunch.

The dealership obviously wasn't too happy about the price I paid since they gave it to me with an empty tank. I complained and they made me wait while they went for gas. They put a whopping $7 in it. Pffffft! Had I known that I wouldn't have wasted my time waiting and filled it myself.

I'm going to miss the 2500 Hemi. It was really fun to toss through the corners. The CTD is much more firmly planted. I'm hoping this motor will be a lifer...
