where is data link connector

where is data link connector
i am having trouble 
locating the data link connector have looked under instrument panel on both sides. is there a panel that has to be removed to have smarty access?

i could have used that pic when i posted. LOL thanks
i was looking with a flashlight at an awkward angle ignored hood opening.
that was my mistake found it on the third try.
