Trade in value on 03?

Has anyone traded in their 03?

Did you get low book value on it?

I have a great deal on an 04.5 six speed but they say they can't even give me low book on the trade because of the low prices they sell their new ones for. They are talkin $4,500 under low book!

Is this unresonable of me to ask a dealer to do?

My truck is in perfect condition including an X-Monitor and a few other extras.

Look at my gallery pics and tell me what you think.

Thanks..

Why not try to sell a truck that new yourself? You'd get more money, albeit at a little more hassle.

If your truck is as nice as you say it is, it shouldn't be hard. One thing to note, low interest rates on new vehicles hurt used vehicle sales..

My experience, @ minimum, you will get 31K for your trade if its a 4X4. If it's a great deal, you may need to have them work with your trade. It's funny how the numbers game can be played if they really want to sell you that truck. Right now, they want to move everything during this time, with 2 months to go before the 05's start rolling in. Also, you may need to see what your tax advantage would be selling it yourself or the difference of savings trading it in and taking a slight hit. Also, you may want to take it to CARMAX and see what they will give you. One other step, you could check for wholesalers in your area and see what they will give. If you do go back with your trade, hold your cards and WAIT them out and never be enthusiastic of the new truck, NEVER. Try another dealer...Good Luck, it's warfare...
