I believe you do need to remove the bumper if I recall correctly. Others will have more detailed info on this.

NOPE! Just keep trying. I got mine off without removing the bumper. It took a few extensions, universals, cheater bars, and different length wrenchs to do it, but it was far quicker than unhooking everything to remove the bumper!

I was also able to bolt on my Ranchand mounts without removing either.

The bumper isn't that hard to remove either, if you decide to go that route.

I doubt if you need to remove the bumper. I installed mine by myself WITHOUT removing the bumper.

Just had my tow hooks removed, yesterday.I put on a manik brush guard.I put a box end wrench on the front side bolt and a socket on the nut on the rear side. The lower nuts are kind of a pain to get to.I never removed my bumper.Good Luck.coobie

For those of you that take the hooks off are you taking the extra suports off?
If all you are taking off is the hook only you will still need to get a mounting kit to put them on another truck. If all you have is the hooks and want to dump them off please let me know because I'm building a bumper and want to use them for that.
