Well I searched but couldnt quite find the right answer my truck in my sig, 05 long box.

I got a great deal from a friend of a friend for his canopy(topper for the americans ), it came off a longbox dodge diesel also but my friend hasnt got back to me with what year he had it on originally. Just curious as the topper is an hours drive away is there much of a size difference if it was for a 2nd gen? Did 3rd gens get any wider or longer a bit?

I think it came off a 3rd gen just wanted to know if it'd still work from a 2nd gen as its in great condition and only 250 bucks.

Well in case anyone is interested or something else searches for this answer I was looking for.

Yes a 2nd gen canopy will fit on a 3rd gen. The 2nd gen canopy is just a little bit smaller up front and just a bit wider at the rear. Made it work, I'm happy with it for 250 bucks, it seals up great, just gotta get it painted now.
