Sulastic Rubber Springs?

Did a search, came up empty. Has anyone tried these Sulastic rubber insert shackles?

https://www.sulastic.com/default.aspx

Might be nice to soften the ride a bit?

Surprised no one has responded. Guess these shackles aren't so good?

I have installed many of the BF Goodrich Velvet Ride Shackles.

These look like a similar concept.

The BFG's ate up expansion cracks and other sharp jolts.

I'm going to do some more research on those as I'm always looking for a good product to fix my client's troubles.

Thanks for the link

Any idea of what a suspension shop would charge to install a set?

CrazyCooter - have you any idea if these will withstand a full load on truck and or if it will last/hold up. How do we decide which is the better product - you mention'd (the BF Goodrich Velvet Ride Shackles. ) I for one would love to have this on my truck. Just would like to know which one I should get.

The BFG's held up well. I never had any returned. The did lower the rear of the truck .75-1". They also made the rear of the truck wiggle around when side loaded. This is to be expected with 1 extra rubber pivot and longer shackle.

I never saw a BFG designed for a truck with compression style shackles....like the newer Dodges have, nor have I seen them in years. I assumed they were dscontinued. NAPA removed them from their chassis catalog.

The Sulastic shackles look like a better design and the price isn't bad. I'm thinking of contacting for more info and dealer programs.

Looks to me like they could be installed in 1-2 hours.

Keep in mind, using these with airbags could cause more sway and wiggle.

Timbrens will make them less effective when loaded too.

Thumbs down

Hi
I just installed a set on my 2wd dually and proceeded to take them off. The ride only improved over speed bumps or large bumps it did absolutely nothing for the normal driving and freeway expansion joints. The shackles also lifted the back of the truck an 1.5" to 1.75" which they advertise less than a 1/4" difference in ride height. Their customer support is about worthless the only way they will talk to me is if I block my phone number. Still trying to get a R.O. number from them. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The old Velvet Ride Shackles were a far superior product.
