if its anything like the 07 you need to start at the cup holder by removing the rubber insert revealing some screws, also pop the 4wd shifter boot out revealing 2 other screws. you can get that tray out by popping it out and twisting the 4wd boot so you can remove the tray. then that reveals 2 screws for the next piece which comes right out after. with that out it reveals some more screws for the next panel. take them out and that piece comes down with a tug. the last piece is the radio bezel, that is held in by 2 screws underneath it, you need to look where the last piece you removed was and look up, once those screws are out you should be able to pull that bezel out, just becarefull of the plugs holding the ac and cig lighter. hope this was easy enough to understand.

mine is quite a bit different than yours. It has the flip up cupholder and no 4x4 shifter. But from what I hear I need to start from the bottom and work my way up.

no, on the '08 you just need to remove the one trim ring around the radio. start at the upper left corner, near the instrument cluster. it is just tabs holding the trim ring in. it takes a good pull to get the first one or two pulled out, then once you can get your hand behind it, it's much easier. that's it. really simply, and those clips seem to be pretty stong. i've had mine off several times and never even come close to breaking one.
