steering issue and death wobble

I fist noticed that when i try to turn hard right it does not come back to center on its own like it used to and it makes a grinding noise, then i noticed that the shock absorber on the linkage is leaking then the death wobble hit yesterday!!!

Any help would be appreciated,

The truck is mainly street highway driven - 20% towing 8k boat and 14k 5th wheel. it is an 07 4X4 dualie 5.9ctd 3500 with 120k miles!

2007 3500 5.9L
6X6 Duallie
Quad Cab
Smarty Jr./intake/exhaust/injectors

Sounds like you need a little front end attention. I would at minimum replace the steering stabalizer, take a look at the track bar bushings, and again at minimum replace them. If you have not changed out your ball joints, they probably need done also.

With the resistance of the steering wheel returning to center I would guess ball joints, but you should start with the most inexpensive parts first when chasing down a problem like this. Might want to check the shaft on the steering box as well to see if its loose

06 dodge deathwobble

My 06 dually diesel developed it at 39000 miles with 0 forwarn. I started with a new stabilizer shock.Nothing, then new shocks, Nothing, then the dodge updated heaveyduty kit, draglink, tierod,Nothing, then New michelintires,Nothing, then new bushings in the panhardbar,Nothing, then alignment,Nothing, then the framebrace that ties the steeringbos in, It really pulled the frametogether and felt better, but didnt affect the wobble. Then I got and adjustable panhard bar and gave it 5 degrees caster., it only had 2 degrees. The wobble finally went except if I hit the wrong hole or overpass or severe washboard it wants to wobble but wouldnt. Im going to try a dualstabalizer kit first. If no change Ill try a little more castor. How frustrating and expensive so far.
