steering failure

when driving at low speed, such as parking lots, my steering will lock up until you stop or sometimes force it to turn. Solutions?

Any idea what year your truck is?

Is it 4x4 or 2wd? Lifted?

Adding some info will help.

My Truck is an 05, I have always changed out the fluid and use LubeGard- (I use turkey baster, pull out 16 oz, and FILL) Do this every 10 Thou or so. Pump works like a CHAMP, works like DAY 1, new.

Make sure you are NOT in 4 wheel drive.
