Spring rates
I don't know if you would really want to do that. Lessing the spring rate with such a heavy front end might introduce the infamous "death wobble". If you really want to lower the front end just cut about half a coil off the current springs. But I would still be concerned about the changes in the geometry that could create ill handling characteristics.
Just curious, why would you want to lower a 4x4 anyway?

I like the mission impossible, lol,,,,,,
After putting the 315's the truck is short an inch to get in the garage, so I would like to drop the front a hair(one inch),,,,
also after lowering the rear(4 inches) I plan to do a four wheel alignment and put everything to spec.
Thanks for for your concern on the Death wobble but I believe it has to do with the steering stablizer.
If it turrns to doodoo, I will punt.
I had lowered my 2001.5 cummins(500 hp) 4x2 a little and looked very sharp. Had to sell cause I live in Indianapolis and not SoCal.
I will post photos when done.
