Replaced VSS still speedo problems!!!!!
I posted a while back that my speedometer was doing some strange bouncing around. Sometimes shutting off for a day. It comes back on for a while then does the same thing again. The abs and brake light comes on as well. It was generally accepted I would have to change my vehicle speed sensor. Well I went ahead and ordered one and while installing my con fe I threw the new one in the pumpkin. Low and behold still the same problem!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess is only for where to start testing , test what you guess is wrong .
I have not worked with that yr , but you mentioned pumpkin , I figured that was the anti lock brake sensor , and the VSS would be in the trans or transfer case .
Did you check for codes ?

The rear axle sensor is the sensor that ultimatelly drives speedometer. As you have learned the ABS lights come on also. Since you have replaced the sensor and the ABS light comes on, that indicates the problem is between sensor and ABS module. Corrosion or damaged wires most likely from sensor.
