Recommend a welder for my truck in Houston

I am looking for someone that can recommend a welder for me in Houston that can weld my track bar drop bracket for me. I have gotten a clunk that seems to have gotten worse, so I took a look under my truck and it looks like the track bar drop bracket has shifted a little. I want to get it back in place and weld it so this thing can't move any more.

Anyone got a shop they would recommend that can weld on my truck without screwing it up, or making it look like a hack job?

Also if anyone has a stock track bar they want to get rid of let me know. I want to see if the clunk goes away by putting a track bar with less of a bend over the diff. My Thuren gets hit by the ball joint on the pitman arm, and by the bolts on the sleeve to adjust my toe.

Well shoot. I guess I am going to have to try my luck and just go to a local offroad shop. I can't keep driving this pig with it clunking everytime I hit a bump or turn my wheels.

Still need to give a stock track bar a shot to see if that's all it is.

Check the yellow pages for a Steel Fabrication Shop. They should know a qualified welder with a rig that either can come to you or you can go to him or to the Fab shop. Generally those guys with the trucks are either to good to work for a shop or not any good at all and can't work for a shop.

Ask if the welder has qualifications for 3G and 4G steel plate. Now how far you want to take that, is up to you. I would want to see it. The certification should be stamped with a Diamond like stamp with AWS on it and signed by an Certified AWS Inspector. Other Certs would be from ASME and ABS.

He isn't toooo terribly far from me. It's not a quick trip across town, but it's not like driving to Dallas either. If I can't find anything around town, I may have to give him a shout.

I about fell over laughing when the girl at the offroad shop sent me an email and said 150 just to run a bead on the drop bracket that is already mounted.

From: outside of H-town, Tx, thankfully
I can look at it one afternoon after work, see what needs to be done, I'm on the southeast side of town, La Porte / Baytown area,,,, I've only been welding for 46 yrs.,,,,,, man that's a long time.

If your on the north side of town, my son might look at it for you, course he drives a Dura-stop, , so I don't know if he'll look at a goat.
