Radio volume control issue

I have the stock radio in my truck. For some time now, when I adjust the volume up, it is acting strange. Let's say the volume is on level #13, when I turn it up the level will raise to #14, then back down to #13, then back up to #14 all while I am turning the **** clockwise. It may do this several times until finally it will continue to increase to #15, then #16 and on up until I stop turning the ****.

Anyone else experience this or have any ideas what is causing this and what is a fix?

Thanks!

My 98.5 does the same thing. I assume it is a bad pot in the radio. Drives me nuts as it only has a certain range. Can't turn it down low at all.
