Question about my set up and adding a Smarty..

I am looking at purchasing the Smarty soley because of the fuel mileage reports I have been hearing. I don't have mods to support the higher settings of the smarty and I really don't plan on any, anytime soon (unless the tranny takes a quick dump then it will be upgraded)...

I currently have a MP-8, tone ring mod, rokk sensor, DIY CP3 mod, edge waste gate elbow, and BHAF...

I don't want to loose the MP-8 because I like the adjustability, I planned on running the smarty on the lower setting and using the mp-8 for occasional power boost...

With the smarty,
1) will I need to pull out the added timing I already have?
2) can I set the FP fooling to off or a very low setting?
3) what should my concerns be when I do turn up the MP-8 for a stop light boost (besides cooking a tranny) or draining the rail???

I don't think my temps will be to bad unless I am just increasing timing so much it is cooking inside the cylinders and I don't know it.. Right now on a 0 to 100 run, I barely kiss 1300 and then it comes back down to about 1250 after 80ish (pre-turbo of course)...

I have been reading alot of good reports in mileage gains from the smarty but I really haven't been paying attention on the truck years.... Are the 04 305/555 getting decent gains as well???

I got a trip coming up later this month (towing the Jeep to KY) and I was planning on getting the smarty before then to start recouping some MPG cost...

Thanks in advance...

Should be fine with those mods. Might have some noticeable timing rattle with both the tone ring mod and the Rokktech.

Will notice a nice drop in EGTs. I see about 1000-1100 degrees max with the SMARTY set to level 5 and 7.

MPG, hard to say. Every truck seems to be different. I haven't seen a real gain, but I didn't lose either.

Would run it on even sw#'s. Mild tq and level 2 or 4 will bw safe if you take it easy. I gained 2-3 mpg's with mine.
