Quad Cab Hat Rack question?

Anyone install a cowboy hat rack in the back of their quad cab? I'm looking at the kind that screw in (to who knows what) thru the headlinder and then is a spring loaded loop to hold your hat upside down against the headliner. I've seen some that are suction cup mounted to the rear window but judging by how often the suction cup crap the lady has in the shower come off the wall, I'm not impressed with that idea. Any pictures and installation tips would be appreciated.

i don't have pics, but i mounted my spring loaded screw in one. i took out the overhead light (between front and back seats) and screwed the hat rack in there, with the opening towards the front. then i popped the light back in over it. the light does not fit fully flush, but its close enough not to notice.

ill try to snap a pic for you.

Interesting. I thought it would go in the back by the hooks up top. That would be less of a pain in the tail to put it there. A picture would be awesome. I'm guessing you could cut some minor reliefs in the plastic of the light to make everything fit flush and still not look like a hack-job if you wanted to remove it.

I made mounting surface of thin plexi glass, attached some straps to the top to hang over the headrest. Then attached straps on bottom to anchor the bottom. Then screwed the spring loaded hat rack to that. Put it on back of passenger seat where I could reach it without getting in the back. Worked pretty well and easy to take out.

After doing it I discovered I could just as easily cut the plexi glass to right size, attach the holder to the top and then slide the plexi glas in the pouch on the back of the passenger seat and would work just as well. Eventually would make mark or probably rub through the vinyl on the pouch.
