Parking Lights
OK did a search an couldnt find an answer so I have to ask....
How many parking lights are we SUPPOSE to have on the back of our trucks??
I went to replace a light bulb today (drivers side brake light or middle bulb) and when checking my lights BEFORE I replaced bulbs I know I only had 2 parking lights the middle bulbs, and the upper bulbs (the blinker bulbs) only lit up when I had my blinkers on.
Well I pulled off my tail light to replace the bulb and had noticed that every bulb on that side was 3057 bulbs even the reverse light well same thing for the other tail light as well. I pulled it off to see...
When I was at the part store the sheet said 3057 bulbs for the brake and park lights and that 4157 bulbs were for the blinkers and park lights well I bought a pack of each just to have them on hand but when I had noticed that they were all 3057's I decided to put the 4157's in the blinker spots, the 3057's in the brake light spots and picked the best 3057's to stick back in the reverse lights (since they were working).
Well now I have 4 parking lights on the back of my truck the top and middle bulbs both light up with my parking lights, granted everything else works just fine as well, brake lights get brighter when applied, same with the blinkers and also if the brakes are on the top bulbs still are parking lights and if the blinkers are on the lowers are just parking lights as well so not like some strange short where I hit the brakes and all the lights get bright or like they all flash or something.
So I guess were the wrong bulbs in there and now everything is fine or is it NOW goofy and im only suppose to have 2 parking lights??
Sorry for the lame question I just dont want to burn something up if it is wrong and for the life of me I cant remember what the heck the back of our trucks look like with just parking lights on
