There's a good 8-9" difference between my wife and myself and she loves the adjustable pedals and split bench instead of the consel I had in my last truck, I guess cause we still honeymooners going on four years!

And Odie, You can always get her a milk crate to stand on!

 

Personally, I didn't feel I needed or wanted the adjustable pedals, but they came with the Laramie package that had a bunch of stuff I did want...

Turns out I find them handy when I have someone taller in the back seat. At just over 6'2, I can put the pedals down and scoot the seat up, and myself and someone my size in the back seat can both be reasonably comfortable (though I still wish Dodge made a real, full size crew cab).

I did a panic stop for a deer where I'd pretty much written off the grille, but much to my surprise the truck stopped with room to spare. I also really appreciate great brakes, and the adjustable pedals does not detract from the awsome stoppers on these trucks!

Anyway, enjoy the new truck.

 

i am 5'5 and my husband is 6'6. he, of course, drives with the pedals down and the seat back, and wishes it went back further. but i love them because i can drive the truck without having to rest my chin on the steering wheel like i did in his last truck. they dont seem to be a problem with stopping or with the feel of the brake.

 

I'm odd guy out. AGAIN!!!! I have the pedals, but wife and I are both 6' tall. So, we never use them. Had I ordered the truck, I'd have gotten the fog lights instead.

But, I can see them being very useful for shorter people. They do have a good bit of travel.

 

Sorry to drag up an old post but have any of you guys experienced a loose brake pedal? Mine has about 4" of side to side play. And I just noticed that the hydroboost is leaking as well

now that you have made up your mind, I have the adjustable pedals and a 6 speed and it's nice to be able to taylor the clutch position and throw to whats comfy for you!

Plus it helps if you have a smaller lady who drives it once and a while...

 

I am the only person that ever drives my truck. I have the adj pedals and put them all the way down when I bought it and have never moved them, but they are great and I am sooooo glad I have them.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I now have over 138k on mine with no problems with the brakes (still original pads) or the adjustable pedals. Please let us know what the problem was when you get it fixed.

Well I took it in that morning and had the shop foreman take a look at it. Threre was a definate drip of ATF coming out of the back of the hydraulic assist. Looked it up on his computer and it said that the ATF is from assembly and all that needs to be done is to clean the area with brake clean and keep an eye on it. Going in tomorrow so he can take a better look at the pedal itself to see whats up....keep you guys posted

On the top of the shaft where the brake pedal travels on there is a channel cut into it. In the channel there is a nylon type bushing that locates the pedal and allows it to move back and fourth when using the adjustor. WELL, that wonderful nylon bushing cracked and a portion of it fell out allowing the movement. It took some convincing but he finally did see my issue and will be replacing the whole works with a new one

Still not sure if the hydraulic assist is leaking but will keep an eye on it.

My wife is 5' I am 6"3" we use the adjust button. When we had a FURD Expedition we hadem on it to and used them.
